Cementing our position in this sector, PPS recently won Camozzis Distributor of the Year award for the Northern Region. The partnership with Camozzi began back in 2004 but this is the first time that PPS has achieved this accolade.
It comes after the company brought in a dedicated pneumatics expert, Glenn Stephenson, as Area Manager. Sales of general consumables have since increased, including through the Sales Counter, and a number of new customers have been brought on board. Pneumatics are used by many companies as a safe, cost effective and flexible way to transmit power through mechanical systems.
Sales Manager Pete Odell explains: Our pneumatics division achieved substantial growth on last year after we stepped up our game and made ourselves more visible in this sector. Since Glenn joined the company, we have seen very high growth in this area of the business.
As an authorised Camozzi Distributor, PPS is able to supply a wide range of items from stock, including air preparation, connectors, cylinders, directional control valves, fittings, process valves and tubes. We also supply products from other major brands, including Parker, SMC, Festo and Norgren.
As well as receiving a plaque and a certificate, PPS can now enjoy the prestige of the title of Distributor of the Year throughout 2017.
