PPS crowned Distributor of the Year

It was a win-win situation at the fourth Motion Control Industry Awards, held on 22 May at the National Conference Centre, Hampton-in-Arden. Not only did we enjoy a great night out but the team at PPS were also thrilled to take home the award for Distributor of the Year.

It was the first time we had entered the awards and we were pleased that the judges recognised all of the hard work and effort that our staff put into everything from designing, supplying and installing energy-saving compressed air systems to offering top-notch service to our clients.

Ian Harrison, Managing Director, said: “We were thrilled to receive this award, especially against such stiff competition. To be nominated was fantastic, to be a winner a complete shock; it just shows how hard our team work. The night was a real celebration of our industry and we were proud and humbled to be part of it. Congratulations to all nominees and winners alike.”

Attached to our entry were some recent case studies that show the quality of our offer and customer service, with examples such as:

“We’re extremely happy with the new compressor and the service we received from PPS. The installation was a painless transition, the engineers were very professional and worked around our working hours… a very speedy, reactive service.” Andrew Walton, Operations Manager, Alco Valves

“The process was no trouble at all and the engineers were very efficient. The spares and servicing provision is excellent, and any time we’ve had a breakdown they come out straight away.” Paul Townend, Senior Technician, Sam Weller

“The breakdown could have meant a loss of production and sales, but your guys resolved the issue within a few hours. Thanks to Pennine for looking after me yet again.” Matt Carroll, Engineering Manager, SGL Co-Packing

As an Authorised Atlas Copco Distributor, we were also pleased to see the General Manager of Atlas Copco Power Technique UK/Ireland, Kevin Prince, given a Lifetime Contribution award.
